We are taking off! After a year of clearing the land, prepping the ground, and figuring out logistics, we are finally ready to start building.
Our new hole in the ground is soon to be filled with STUFF – gravel, lumber, rebar, sweat and tears, on which the foundation for our off grid cabin will be built. Once we create the forms for footings, we stack ICF – Integration Concrete Forms about 30 inches high. They will form the perimeter of the cabin. The inside will later become a crawlspace, good for food storage and other prepper related thingys.
